Tamarit is a long and peaceful beach, located very close to Altafulla, protected by the Castle, which is actually a walled and landscaped manor house—hence its name.
Tamarit-Punta de la Móra is a natural area that brings together two unique coastal zones in Tarragona. This space is dedicated to preserving small, permanent coastal forests that have almost disappeared from the Catalan coast, particularly the Mediterranean juniper. The uniqueness of certain plant species in rocky coastal communities and the diversity of marine algae are also noteworthy. In addition to its exceptional biological value, the Tamarit-Punta de la Móra Castle holds great scenic and cultural significance.
